Hey, guys As you know Oxygen (O2) is very important thing to live. But we don't know how it generates. Because if ecosystem only contain 21% of Oxygen and all the living things continue​ breathing Oxygen then the Oxygen level ends in one day. But it never happens. Why?
Now there a process comes to work which we call Oxygen Cycle. Which running continually as a cycle.
So let's find out how it works.

Process of Oxygen Cycle

The process of Oxygen Cycle mean the process of making Oxygen so here we discuss few characters who creates oxygen for the balance of ecosystem.

Biosphere (Photosynthesis)

(I think we have only known this factor.)
As we know human and animal are breathing Oxygen and releasing Carbon dioxide. Now when the plants are making their food (Carbohydrates) in the process of Photosynthesis they take Carbon dioxide to make Carbohydrate with water and sunlight and release Oxygen at the end product.
It's​ only produce 0.1% of Oxygen level.
6CO₂ + 6H₂O--sunlight--&gt C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂
Where: 6CO₂= Carbon dioxide
           H₂O= water
         Light needed​
          C₆H₁₂O₆= Glucose.
         O₂=Oxygen

Lithosphere (Earth's crust)

It is a very important source to produce oxygen almost 99.5% of Oxygen level. Oxygen mostly occur from the crust of earth , it mean the Oxygen is also available in crust of earth in solid state​ like oxide and silicate. But when any natural hazards broke the earth's crust, its automatically realising oxygen in air from minerals. And also in the other hand minerals also take oxygen like when iron comes to attach with oxygen and water it's generate rust.
But during such chemical and weathering process also realise oxygen to atmosphere.

The Atmosphere (Air)

The atmosphere also contains some amount of Oxygen almost 0.33% of Oxygen level. A process calls photolysis makes oxygen to air. It happens when ultraviolet rays of sun broke the molecule of nitrous oxide and water vapour which realise oxygen to the atmosphere.

Process that use Oxygen

Respiration: Human and other animals use Oxygen to breathing and release Carbon dioxide.
Combustion: when we burn something like wood, it takes oxygen and release Carbon dioxide.
Decomposition: When plants or animals die ,they decompose by oxygen​ and release Carbon dioxide.
Rusting: When iron and other minerals get rust by oxygen and water.

Process that produce Oxygen

Photosynthesis: Plants are produce Oxygen by the process of Photosynthesis.
Plants use carbon dioxide, sunlight and water to create energy.
Sunlight: Some oxygen produce by sunlight when it react with water vapour.
